Impressionist/Surrealist
Gloria Vitto began her artistic career in the world of professional dance, first on stage in Manhattan and next, starting and running her own dance studio, with seven locations in Rochester, New York. While her artistic career took a hiatus while raising a son and daughter, she returned to her creative side by attending UCLA and starting her own interior design firm. Dayal Interiors was immensely successful in the very competitive landscapes of New York, Connecticut and Los Angeles for over fourteen years.
Finally, determined to pursue her artistic leanings, she began serious painting in 2002. While her primary medium is oil on canvas, she occasionally dabbles in watercolor as well as pen and ink. Her works can be viewed as she is a regular exhibitor at the Beverly Hills Affair In the Garden (where she has been awarded second place honors), the Malibu Art Festival (she was the show organizer for the 2005 and 2006 Malibu Art Association). In 2006 she exhibited in the Sawdust Winter Fantasy in Laguna Beach. She continues to expand her artistic skills at both Santa Monica College and Emeritus Senior College.
